Lions, giraffes, zebras, monkeys and more are represented in set from Italy. The chess pieces feature a variety of exotic creatures, from the regal lion "king" to whimsical zebra "knights," all made of Oxo-Teak (crushed alabaster) and hand-painted by Italian artisans.

- As a general rule the squares on the chess board/table should be at least 1/4" larger, than the base diameter of the chessmen.
