Solid brass chessmen both sides, one side is plated with silver. The pieces are hand spun so they look and feel like satin with felted bottoms, naturally heavy in weight. The brass/silver parts have several coats of a finish on top so you will not have to polish the pieces. This set of chessmen is hand crafted by Italian artisans in Italy. The chess board is crafted of solid brass and Italian worm wood with storage underneath for the chessmen. This is a beautiful chess set to leave on display just as one would display a fine piece of crystal. Made in Italy.
