Solid Brass and silver plated chessmen with maple/walnut. Brass and silver parts are spun to give the look and feel of satin. The chess board/cabinet is made of the most superior woods from Italy. Inlaid maple, walnut, mahogany & briarwood and a gorgeous mosaic trim around the board. Solid brass piano hinges and a storage compartment for chess and checkers pieces with lock and key. This is a beautiful set to leave on display just as you would a fine piece of crystal.
