If you are replacing backgammon checkers for a folding backgammon usually if the backgammon set closed is 11" x 8" you will need 7/8" checkers, 15" x 10" you will need 1" checkers, 18" x 12" you will need 1 1/4" checkers, 21" x 13" you will need 1 9/16" checkers. If made your own set measure the widest part of the backgammon triangle and your backgammon checkers should be a littler smaller.
