The chessmen are each individually spun to give the pieces the feel and look of satin, this is a magnificent chessmen set it is very heavy in weight naturally, this set will be the center piece of any room. The board is also crafted in Italy it is made of Italian briarwood and birdseye maple, it is completely finished on the back side, it has several coats of a polyurethane to give it that high glossy shine in addition the board is line with a brilliant black onyx color along the boarder of the squares.
